OPPD Energy Assistance Program (EAP)
Emergency support when you need it
Sometimes you need a little extra support — we understand, and we want to help. OPPD’s Energy Assistance Program (EAP) provides utility bill assistance to help cover the energy needs of our customers during emergency situations. The EAP reduces financial burdens to help eligible households breathe a little easier when money is tight.
Success of the EAP depends on community partnerships, donations from generous employees and customers, and other fundraising efforts, with 100% of the contributions going to assist residential customers in need.
Here’s how the EAP works
EAP assistance funds are distributed to eligible customers through a network of over 30 community-based organizations within OPPD service territory. Applicants receive assistance based on eligibility criteria and availability of funds, with a maximum of $500 in assistance per year.
