Solar energy could save your business money through lower electricity costs and rebates. OPPD is here to answer questions and help get you started. From finding an OPPD Trade Ally to putting your check in the mail, we’ll guide you every step of the way.
In fact, you likely qualify for OPPD’s one-time $2,000 solar rebate on newly installed systems.
Here’s how it works
- Contact an OPPD Trade Ally to determine if installing a solar energy system is right for your business.
- Your Trade Ally submits an application for your equipment before installation.
- After the system is approved for construction, your Trade Ally applies on your behalf — you don’t need to worry about any rebate paperwork.
- OPPD reviews your rebate application. If your system meets the requirements, the application is preapproved for payment.
- Rebate funds are then reserved for 120 days while the system is installed.
- The Trade Ally provides OPPD with a dated and itemized invoice for the system within 30 days of project completion.
- Your rebate check arrives in the mail!
To be eligible for a solar rebate, you must:
- Install a qualifying system using a Solar/COG Trade Ally. See the Solar Rebates Terms and Conditions for requirements of a qualifying system.
- Submit your interconnection application on or after January 1, 2023.
- Be an OPPD customer with good standing account(s).
- Agree to the OPPD Solar Rebates Terms and Conditions.
