Earn Credits for Reducing Demand
Maintaining a healthy electrical grid can be challenging when customer demand is at its highest. Luckily, OPPD’s Business Curtailment Program offers business customers the opportunity to earn big rewards for helping us reduce demand. By participating, you help OPPD keep rates low for all customers — including your business — and prevent service interruptions across the community.
Explore The Perks:
When you enroll, your business will receive a monthly bill credit in return for agreeing to curtail upon the request of OPPD. And the best part? You receive the monthly credit whether your services are requested that month or not.
We’ve recently increased incentives and lowered the qualification threshold — making it easier than ever to get involved and give your bottom line a boost. Plus, we always provide at least four hours advance notice before making any official curtailment requests, so you never have to face any surprises.
To Qualify:
Acceptance into the Business Curtailment Program requires a review of your usage history and/or operations to determine your energy curtailment expectations. Each program has its own individual terms, conditions and qualifications, including noncompliance penalties.
The chart below provides a handy introduction to the different rate riders — please reach out to your OPPD senior account executive or account executive at any time to learn more about the program and find the agreement that’s right for your business.
