As a public power utility, Omaha Public Power District is invested in helping our communities to thrive. And that involves more than ensuring reliable electricity.
We want to help connect our customers with the resources they need for employment, physical and mental health resources, family support, financial assistance, and more. That’s why OPPD is hosting two pilot community resource fairs, with the first one taking place next week.
North Omaha South Omaha
Thursday, June 6, 5 -7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, 5 -7 p.m.
Salem Baptist Church Salvation Army’s Kroc Center
3131 Lake St., Omaha 2825 Y St., Omaha
The fairs are designed to be a one-stop shop for our customers where they can learn about the community services available to them. Customers will be able to visit a variety of informational stations, including OPPD’s. We will provide guidance on saving energy and weatherizing homes, as well as bill payment options and assistance.
Through these two pilots, we hope to learn more about our community and get feedback from our customers, then use that input to create similar fairs across our 13-county service territory.
