How to Read Your Bill

OPPD Board of Directors meeting today (11/21). Click here for details.

Business customers may receive different bill formats depending on their needs. The numbers on these examples explain all the segments on each bill type.

Standard Bill

Standard Residential Bill

A Standard bill format is used by residential customers living in a single-family home or apartment dwelling. Move your cursor over the bill for detailed explanations of the different parts of the bill.

Net Meter Bill

A Net Meter bill is used by residential customers producing their own energy using solar panels, wind turbines or other forms of renewable energy. OPPD measures how many kilowatt/hours (kWh) of energy you send to the grid versus how much you take from it using a bidirectional meter. Your energy bill is then adjusted to credit or charge the difference resulting in the net amount. Move your cursor over the bill for detailed explanations of the different parts of the bill.
