Landlord Contract (Contrato de Propietario) - This agreement tells OPPD how to proceed when a tenant requests service to be stopped in his/her name. Without this contract, there is risk of disconnection between tenants and/or risk that property owner will be charged for usage between tenants.
Property owners benefit from a reduced processing fee to transfer service back into his/her name between tenants when the "continued service" option is selected.
If service has been disconnected due to nonpayment by the tenant, the landlord agreement will not be activated.
Third Party Notification - Tenant signature required. OPPD will deliver a copy of the disconnect notice to the property owner. Many property owners or managers include this in their standard rental agreement package.
Letter of Authorization - Property owner/company signature required. This form allows the property owner to designate certain rights to an authorized third party including property management companies or third party payment processors. OPPD may request additional information at a later date.
