Requirements

• Lighting rebates are for existing buildings only (excludes new construction)

• Lighting must be on ENERGY STAR or DLC qualified list

HVAC Equipment Rebates

Upgrading your heating and cooling equipment with a high-efficiency system can significantly decrease your energy usage. OPPD Rebates are available for new construction and replacement on qualifying systems.

Requirements

• Equipment must be above code according to the 2018 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC)

• New heat pump installations qualify for an additional rebate of $50 per nominal ton

• Installation must be performed by an approved Trade Ally

• Must be an OPPD business customer with account in good standing

Advanced Rooftop Unit Controller (ARC) Rebate Program

OPPD offers rebates for adding qualifying technology to your rooftop unit (RTU). Installing an Advanced Rooftop Unit Controller (ARC) improves efficiency by up to 68 percent, while maintaining comfort, saving you energy and money.

Rebate amounts are based on the tonnage of your RTU as well as the technology installed. Rebates range from $135 to $207 per ton, and could be up to $8,280 per unit.

• ARC Technology must include a VFD on the supply fan and/or compressor (ARC Rebate excludes economizer only solutions)

Custom Rebate

$500 per actual kW of peak demand reduction (limited to one project rebate per facility per calendar year). The project rebate is paid after documentation is submitted by the trade ally showing energy and demand savings.

The implementation of the custom project can save money on energy bills, make buildings more comfortable and operation more reliable. Approved custom projects help reduce electricity demand and reduce greenhouse emissions, which will help to improve your ENERGY STAR score.

• Rebates may cover up to 50% of project cost

• Fast paybacks with OPPD rebates

• May qualify for the Dollar and Energy Saving Loan Program through the Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy

Requirements

• Results of the project must be deemed (by OPPD) to be sustainable for at least 5 years 

• New construction and/or additions do not qualify for a Custom Rebate

• Rebate requests shall feature energy efficiency measures that are NOT being funded by other OPPD programs (such as Lighting or ARC rebate programs)

• Installation must be performed by an approved Trade Ally

• Must be an OPPD business customer with account in good standing
