Omaha Public Power District is introducing new offerings to Home Protection Plans, giving residential customers more affordable options to help protect the essential systems, appliances and electronic devices they rely on every day.

Through HomeServe USA Repair Management Corp., an independent company separate from OPPD, customers can choose from a variety of optional service plans that can help reduce the financial impact of unexpected repairs, involving electrical systems, water heaters, heating and cooling equipment, appliances and electronics.

The Home Protection Plans introduce several coverage options, making it easier for customers to explore available plans that best meet their needs.

Options include:

  • Water Heater Repair and Replacement – Provides coverage for eligible wear-and-tear repairs to water heaters, including gas, electric and tankless units.
  • Heating and Cooling System Plus – Covers central forced-air A/C and furnace, including combined annual system tune-up.
  • Additional protection options – Customers can also explore available plans covering other important household systems and eligible home appliances.

Enrollment in these programs is optional, and customers can review coverage options before deciding which plans are right for them. For added convenience, the cost of each selected plan is added directly to the customer’s monthly OPPD bill, eliminating the need for a separate monthly payment.

Customers can learn more about available plans from HomeServe, costs, coverage details, exclusions and eligibility requirements at OPPD.com/GetProtection.
