Vice President Systems Transformation |
Bradley (Brad) Underwood joined OPPD in 2013 as manager of Nuclear Business Operations. Since then, he has served as treasury manager, director of Corporate Planning and director of Financial Planning. He was promoted to Vice President of Systems Transformation in May 2022.
Underwood oversees operational planning for OPPD’s complex energy delivery system. He is also responsible for planning and expanding the district’s transmission system to ensure sufficient capacity in the continually transforming bulk electric system. In addition, he leads system planning functions to achieve OPPD’s decarbonization and resource planning goals.
Prior to his work at OPPD, Underwood served in various roles for the Kiewit Companies including Area Business Manager, providing commercial and financial oversight for teams constructing large energy infrastructure projects. These projects included, but were not limited to, simple cycle and combined cycle natural gas generating stations, liquefied natural gas facilities, as well as air quality control systems for coal-fueled generators.
Underwood holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, as well as a master’s degree in business administration from Creighton University.
